ok , mom. lets for get about repo. they say it ll be on your credit for 7 to 10 years, but the way collection agencies work, they will keep it on there forever (been there). you have 2 choices...by another car, or get the malibu fixed. my advice is to get the malibu fixed. more specifically, put a used engine in it. go to a used part yard and get an engine that is A1.. the engine was run before being removed from the wrecked vehicle. have a mechanic do the engine on the side. most mechanics do work on the side, for extra money. this will probably save you half of what you were quoted. as far as the money goes, i would pay for the engine first, get it delivered in to your hands, then work on the labor end of it. Um,just a question, did you say it was in a flood? well, in my experience, car wont live very long after a flood even if an engine is put in it. think about that and email me, i may have another option but i need to get my facts straight first. dieselskidz28@yahoo.com.
Well you need a car right now. So after reading i can only see two real options. Either replace engine, if you do not have money, the only option may be to charge it on a credit card etc. Or you could try to trade in/junk the car and just buy a new one. Both options will cost lots of money, but if you cant get to work or take care of kids without one then you have to do something now. This may just be one of thoughs things where you have to pay up and work hard to overcome, once you get some transportation and start making money again your debt will slowly go down and it will not seem so bad.
References :
life

Are you asking readers for money? I mean this could be a good scam. I know you havnt asked but it sort of could be taken that way.
My guess is your managing some how already but would like to improve the situation.
Can you borrow a car from someone for the days you need it most. Or a few days a week to help you out.
Getting into more dept doesnt sound great.
If your going to get another car get a Toyota with an engine size of 1600cc or less this way you have more reliable and cheaper running costs.
In the next 5yrs an energy crunch will happen.
Try to pay off your car and get by. Find a job closer to home or move closer to the Job and school and doctors.
When this energy crunch happens you will need Supermarket doctor hospital, school and work all near by.
Get a flat mate to move in to help pay the rent.
Maybe a boyfriend ?
Im into hand ups not hand outs.
References :
Wow that was alot to read, it sounds like you simply want a free fix for the car and it doesn't work like that. If you need an engine you have three options, one is stop making payments and have your credit ruined, two is replace the engine while still making payments, three is to continue to make payments and get another car. You bought the car, you inspected it prior, I dont understand what the problem is, pay to fix it or get rid of it, either way you are responsible for the car payments on a car with that many miles even if it doesn't run.
